Skiing in a winter wonderland

Jumper - Given to me by my Nana (No label) | Jeans - Topshop | Boots - Thewhitepepper | Hat - Missguided

I know its been a while since I last posted but I just have so much going on atm :(:( what with just getting back from Austria (which I had planned to blog whilst there but the Internet just wasn't up to it) all the exams I have coming up and catching up with all my friends and family over Christmas, leaves my life well.. pretty damnn crazzzy! So yeah, Austria was absolutely AMAZING!! It was my first ever skiing holiday as I'm usually a lay on the sunbed getting a tan kinda girl, but skiing was such an unbelievable experience and I just want to do it all again!! I laughed non stop for the whole week, ate lots of yummy food and had my fair share of jager bombs, hahaa! I've added some pictures in of skiing for you guys down below if anyone's interested, then just simply scroll down...

Also it was my birthday on the 19th whilst I was in Austria, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to mee! Spending your 20th skiing and partying in Austria.. I mean what more could you ask for! Definitely a birthday i'll never forget!

So here I'm wearing a jumper my Nana gave to me, (totally raided her wardrobe for the turtle necks this winter) However, when she gave me this one it was kind of an awkward length that just didn't really do anything for me, so I decided to chop away at it and make it into a nice Little cropped jumper (Oopsie, think i'll be keeping that a secret from my Nana, I can hear her now "Eee Amy, you'll catch your death of cold in that now" hehee the cutie! ) but anyway. now its deffos one of my fave jumpers!! I paired it with my tight fitted topshop jeans, my chunky boots and of course, a hat.

'I'd like a cheeseburger, large fries and a Cosmopolitan' - Carrie Bradshaw

Skirt - Missguided | Top - Topshop | Coat - Primark | Boots - Forever 21 | Hat - Missguided | Necklaces - Ebay and Topman

So this is the outfit I wore when my mama came up to Newcastle for the day to visit me at uni! The day basically consisted of food and cocktails, shopping, Christmas markets and mulled wine and then more food and cocktails hahaa! The best kinda days if you ask me! (You know it's been a good day when at the end you can't feel your feet anymore and your hands hurt from all the shopping bags, it's safe to say the cocktails were definitely needed). So yeah I had such a fab day with my mama!!

Anyways mini life update over and on to the clothes!! So It was a pretty chilly day and I knew we'd be in and out of the shops so I wanted to wear something warm yet still look nice for cocktails. I haven't worn this skirt since summer, I guess I just associated brighter maxi skirts with summer but they work so well in winter too! So grab them out your wardrobe girls and get wearing!!  I'm all about making summer clothes work for winter too, with the right layers you can make them work all year round and as you all probably know I'm a summer gal through and through! Don't get me wrong I love a white Christmas but this weather right now is just not doing it for me :(!

So I layered a longer sleeve top over my maxi and wore my fave coat from primarni to complete the look! Oooh and I just thought I'd add that I'm loving the coats in primark this winter, they've really upped their game and could give topshop or river island a good run for their money for a fraction of the price! So definitely give primark a check out before you go spending close to £200 on a new coat this winter!

SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW

Top - Rat and boa | Jeans - Topshop | Cardigan - Rat and boa | Boots - THEWHITEPEPPER | Hat - Missguided | Necklace's - eBay and Topman

Well its safe to say I definitely got my wear out of this rainbow crochet top throughout the summer, but can you blame me? look how amazing it is!! Definitely a holiday must have! But even though were rapidly approaching Christmas and the weathers bloody freezing out, I definitely wont be putting this top away any time soon. Although you wont see me strutting around the streets like this, you'll definitely find me in it on a night out, or whilst going for a few (and by few I mean well..alot) cocktails with the girls!

I've rambled on and on before about rat and boa, but they really are one of my all time favourite online stores! They sell the most beautiful, unique, pieces of clothing which will definitely get heads turning! My cardigan is also from rat and boa and it too has to be one of my favourite things I own! So if your interested in any of their clothing, or just wanna have a nosey about, then you can find them here and thank me later, hehe.

Hey mama, welcome to the 60's..

Skirt - ebay (find some like it here) | Jumper - Topshop | Bag - Carboot | Boots - Forever 21

Okay so I shiver too looking at my bare legs in this weather, Eee the things I do to get some good blog pictures, but saying that I actually wasn't even that cold, however I'll admit it was one of our 'warmest' colder days, if that makes any sense haa! So I just thought that this would be a nice outfit to throw on around the Christmas period (when your sick of sparkles) and just spending time around your families or friends, which is just a case of spending seconds in the coldness running from car to house. However by simply throwing on a pair of thick tights, a coat and a nice woolly scarf your ready to tackle any weather!!

So I really enjoy the 60's vibe that this skirt, well whole outfit has going on. I think it gives this Topshop jumper a whole other look as oppose to the way I've worn it in a previous post, which you can find here. So you all probably know by now that I'm completely obsessed with turtle necks, you can just never have enough of them in my opinion, especially over these bloody cold winter months and I plan on buying many many more! Lastly I finished off my look with these suede baby's from forever 21, they just seem to be all I'm reaching for when I'm getting ready lately, I can feel another shoe obsession coming on..

Look at the stars, look how they shine for you..

Skirt - River Island(a few years old) | Top - Topshop | Agyness Deyn Dr Martens - ebay | Hat - Missguided

Every now and again the rock chick'er inside of me comes out, I just love how adding a rock style tee to a girlie piece really toughens the whole outfit up and gives it a completely different vibe! So this little sparkly beauty has been hanging in the back of my wardrobe for over a year now and tbh I'd actually forgotten all about it, which seems to be the case with over half of my clothes hahaa. Is this just me?!

To add a further edge to this look I wore my Agyness Deyn Dr martens, I absolutely LOVE these boots to death, they just hurt like hell :( but their totally worth the pain, and add the perfect amount of grunge to every outfit.

This skirt can also double up as the perfect Christmas party number and I'll definitely be getting my wear out of it over the Christmas period!! Speaking of Christmas, I'm so EXCITED this year AHH (I think now I'm at uni I look forward to Christmas even more because I get to go home for a while and see all my friends and family, so it makes it even more special!) Ohh and I'm loving the Christmas markets, all the amazing chocolate and cheese stalls, so yummy and you can pick up some lovely little gifts too, can we please not keep them all year around?

layer layer LAYER

Jeans - Sheinside | Dress - Motel rocks | Jumper - Topshop | Coat - Primark | Boots - holiday market | Bag - Carboot | Hat - Missguided

I feel like this is all I say atm but i'm really sorry for my lack of blogging this past week :( Its my last two weeks at uni before Christmas and the work load is crazzzy!!!!! Not to mention I spent all last weekend in Bradford, with no signal or internet connection so a blog post was a definite no no but I had such a good weekend with my Mama. Then I had my Biomedicine ball last night which was FAB, i'll do a mini blog post on what I wore soon but for those of you who follow me on Instagram you'll have already seen it! Sorry for the mini life update again haha, I just cant help myself!!

So when the winter months hit my love for layering grows and grows!! Not only does layering look good, but it also keeps you nice and toastie too! These jeans are still one of my all time faves, i'm obsessed with ripped jeans and for only £10.87 what more could you ask for?! I cant get enough of my Topshop green turtle neck either lately, it just goes perfectly with everything I seem to put on!! This slip dress in iridescent green from motel is EVERYTHING!! You can wear it in so many ways, dress it up with heels and some nice jewellery on a night out or layer it under a jumper for a more casual daytime wear. Either way it looks gorjjj!
